Cathleen Rutz, CPA, Lead Tax Preparer, Owner/Manager
Cathleen H. Rutz, CPA is a native of Edwardsville and owner of MIDWEST Tax Group, Inc. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville in 1991, passed the Certified Public Accountants Exam in Illinois in 1994, and is a licensed CPA. Cathleen also earned a Masters of Business Administration degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville in 1999. Cathleen has progressive accounting experience with such companies as MCI Telecommunications, Procter & Gamble Manufacturing Co., and Washington University in St. Louis.
Cathleen began in the field of individual tax preparation and small business bookkeeping in 1991, giving her over 21 years of experience. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Tax Professionals.
As a CPA, Cathleen is able to represent clients with the authority of an attorney before the Internal Revenue Service. Cathleen keeps her skills current via experience and continuing education. Cathleen lives in Highland with her husband and three boys.

Rose Cuca, EA, Lead Tax Preparer
Rose Cuca brings to MIDWEST Tax Group over 30 years of experience as a tax specialist, business owner, and educator. Her expertise covers all aspects of individual and business tax, new business startup, and the specialized tax law for home day care providers. Rose has been enrolled to practice by the Internal Revenue Service since 1987 and holds degrees in Mathematics and Sociology from Blackburn College in Carlinville, IL.
Rose owned and/or managed tax practices from 1986 until 2012 in Maryville and Glen Carbon, IL, offering a full range of tax services year round.
The EA after Rose's name indicates that she has attained enrolled agent status with the Internal Revenue Service by passing a two-day examination on taxation. This status enables her to represent clients with the authority of an attorney before the Internal Revenue Service.
Rose is a past President of the Illinois Chapter of the National Association of Tax Professionals.
Throughout the years, Rose has been an enthusiastic and active volunteer in several community, school, and church organizations.

Linda Hellenga is an Edwardsville native and serves as a tax professional of MIDWEST Tax Group.
Jennifer Meshey, Tax Preparer
Jennifer Meshey joins MIDWEST Tax Group in 2013 with prior experience as a tax specialist with H&R Block. Jennifer's work history also includes working at a Social Security Disability Company and holding a leadership position at a Catalog Distribution Warehouse. Jennifer volunteers time with St. Jacob grade school and the St. Jacob IL Produce Co-op.
Jennifer resides in St. Jacob with her husband and two children.

Robyn Lane, Tax Preparer
Robyn Lane is a licensed CPA and has been an Edwardsville resident for the past 20 years.
Robyn holds a B.S. degree in Nursing from Webster University and worked as an R.N. at Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis for 15 years. After raising her children, Robyn attended Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and passed the CPA exam in 2005. Robyn has prior progressive accounting experience working at local public accounting firms.
Robyn has over 7 years experience in individual and business tax preparation as well as small business bookkeeping. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Beth Pavlow, Office Manager
Beth Pavlow joined MIDWEST Tax Group as Office Manager in 2011.
Beth comes to the tax office with an extensive background in customer service including several years of event planning experience. Having most recently served as a Sales Coordinator for an audio visual company in downtown St. Louis, her experience also includes office management for a nonprofit association in Washington, D.C. Beth holds a B.S. in public relations from the University of Florida.
